Guggenheim Gala Intro

On November 15th, 2023, the Guggenheim Museum held its annual International Gala welcoming 300 guests. This esteemed event serves as a platform to honour the yearly accomplishments of the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum while uniting efforts to raise vital funds supporting the museum's globally acclaimed * exhibitions, educational programs, and pioneering initiatives.

This is by far one of the most exciting nights in NYC, and this year's edition saw guests enjoying a visit to the exhibition "Going Dark: The Contemporary Figure at the Edge of Visibility," showcasing works from 28 talents. After a welcome drink enjoying the museum view from one of its iconic ramps, guests relished a three-course dinner on the rotunda floor, transformed into a classy and vibrant dining space.

JN designed and produced the entire event from tablescape design to stunning light projections on the museum ramps created in collaboration with one of JN's vendors.

The Guggenheim International Gala is always a celebration of creativity in all forms; from the annual exhibition to the tablescape design. JN created a connection between the exhibition's theme of partially obscured and hidden figures and the table's decorative elements. A centrepiece of moss and wild pink flowers lay on a deep blue tablecloth, creating a rich contrast of pink hues softly illuminated by flickering flame candles discreetly hidden in the moss base. They revealed the statement flower - King Protea, a South African pink flower symbolising strength, resilience, and diversity themes that perfectly tied a knot with the exhibition's profound themes.
